Food TV this weekend was LOADED with programs on Dutch Oven cooking--a few were about those chuck wagon competitions.

But down here in South Florida, we just can't get the wood anywhere. No one sells it--only chunks.

Can you also use charcoal?

Yup, charcoal briquets definitely work. Matter of fact, all the cook books I've seen use specific numbers of briquets to control the temperature in the oven.

Of course, I can't afford any of those expensive ANTIQUE ovens like Dean is scanning the globe for, so I'll go with Camp Chef.

Also if you buy camp chef make sure your lids fit before you buy.
