Newbie '64 Scamper owner here

Postby Bennnn » Mon Feb 17, 2014 4:49 pm

Hey there, I bought a 1964, 12 foot Scamper trailer last year (2013), and wanted to get into a vintage trailer group, so here I am. I got it for $1200 in great shape, so I think it was a steal. The guy who sold it to me said that the only issue was the furnace, which needed a thermocoupler replaced.

I was hoping to find out some more about other people's small trailers' furnaces, but first I want to express my love for all things camping and now, camping with a trailer; the obvious next step from tenting lol My girlfriend and I are sooooo happy to be off the ground!

I don't see a lot of info on Scampers on the internet, so anyone able to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I will post pics soon :-D

Clarify for us, is it a pop-up camper, or a fiberglass camper (Scamp), or old metal sided travel trailer?
EDIT; does the furnace have a fan to circulate the heat?
