New from Illinois

Postby usmile4 » Fri Feb 14, 2014 8:42 pm

My name is Bill and I live in Naperville, IL. I have no trailer at this time so I'm going to be a learner for a while. I do have a 51 Chevy that I think a teardrop or other small vintage trailer would look great behind. I've just finished the resto-mod of my 51 and still have to get it road reliable before I get serious about the trailer. I would eventually like to tour some of the backroads and byways of this country with my 51 and my camera. I am a professional photographer doing mostly people pictures but love doing landscapes and nature stuff too.

Hi Bill and welcome from a fellow flatlander. Beautiful car you have. I could see a cool teardrop behind that. We have several Teardrop gatherings in Illinois and the surrounding states. Check the Midwest section of the forum. Lots of future builders come by and visit or camp with us in a tent or whatever you have. It's a great way to see a wide variety of trailers and ask questions. Drive your 51 and bring your camera!

I saw that you have an outing scheduled for June in Galena. We have a place in the territories. I haven't driven the 51 up yet as I'm still working out the kinks of the rebuild, but that is one goal if it ever gets nice again!

Welcome Bill, another hot rod guy, great!.... My niece and nephew just moved to Naperville between Xmas and New Years, just over a month ago. They got slammed with the cold front and needed to do some adjusting from the California weather they were used too. Lol! Welcome and keep us posted. P.S. we like pic's :D
