Central Canada Tearjerkers Pre-Summer Gathering – Emily Provincial Park - May 2014

-Note to Canadian Members: This is *not* Victoria Day weekend.
-For our US friends, it is a long weekend for you. Feel free to spend it here in Canada.

Emily Provincial Park offers many large, private campsites. Over 150 have electrical service. Amenities such as comfort stations, water taps, and laundry facilities are centrally located in the campgrounds. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table and parking space.

Besides camping, the campground provides easy access to canoeing, swimming, boating, fishing and biking.

Emily is less than 150km from Toronto and less than 300km from Ottawa, Kingston, Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton.

SITES: Circle Campground - Sites 199-211



COST: between $40 and $50/night (depending on what services you require)
Reservations: https://reservations.ontarioparks.com/Home.aspx or 1-888-ONT-PARK (1-888-668-7275) Reservations open up five months prior to the visit, so that will be December 25 for this weekend. Book early so we can camp together.

WHO: Anybody who wants to come no matter what you are camping in!!!

Friday: Meet & Greet and campfire at Directors’ sites
Saturday Morning: Breakfast at Directors’ sites
Saturday Evening: Potluck and campfire at Directors’ sites

Booked into Emily at site #95.
By noon on Christmas day there was only one site left in the Circle area, so I picked a spot on Hill campground. Don't think the walk will be too far. See you in the spring.

Hi all.
Just a note to anyone who has booked this event, or is thinking about it... The tear droppers have officially cancelled this event on their calendar. This does not mean there will be no camping at Emily this weekend. I still plan on going, and if any others are going, don't be shy about coming over and saying hello. There might be an adult beverage laying around with your name on it ( or cake!).
Hope to see a few of the regulars out, and meet new friends as well.

As always the threat of use them or loose them applies to our provincial parks... Don't say I didn't warn ya!
