And.... Two coats of thinned Rustoleum. When dry, will sand and do at least one more thinned coat. Then several coats of full-strength enamel.

Hi, Mike! We sealed the seams with PL Premium, glued and stapled, when we put the roof skin bendy plywood on, then filled any gaps with wood filler. We are painting all the wood with Rustoleum enamel paint which waterproofs it. (A bit of a complicated process using several coats of enamel cut with mineral spirits, then several coats of full-strength enamel.) Then we will put rubber roofing over the top, with the edge extended over the side, and then put roof edge trim over that, with Sikaflex in between the rubber roof and the trim itself.

Hubby just commented that we use Sikaflex. Some people use butyl tape or putty tape. (He would not recommend using silicone for many reasons, chief among them it is not UV resistant.) Have you started your build and do you have a build thread? Would love to see it!

Today was incredibly productive! It was so productive that I didn't take hardly any pictures! Will take some and post tomorrow. The process of painting with this enamel, sanding in between, is very time consuming! We got a 3rd coat of enamel cut with mineral spirits on, dried, then sanded, and then the first full coat of enamel. Also got paint on the side door and the two rear doors. They should be ready for the first coat of full-strength enamel tomorrow.

I also have been working on my design for a changing room that will be attached to the side of the camper. My original design using 3/4 PVC worked, but it wasn't ideal. A few days ago, our canopy shelter we had put up for the winter over the camper - it came down in high wind. Hubby had thrown away the tarp part, and had piled up the metal poles. Long story short, I used the metal poles from that and made myself the framework for my changing room. It is about 5x4, and will attach to the side of the camper, and will utilize expandable tent poles for supports. The curtains are fabric shower curtains. I can't take a picture of the whole thing until I can put the brackets on the side of the camper, and can't do that till all the painting is done. I'm pretty excited about it! It's gonna be cool!
