Newbie and first build (Galley Pics Added)

Postby Mel » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:18 pm

Hello from New Mexico, back in January my wife and I found a project TD on Craigslist, it basically was two plywood walls and one side door and a galley door, the guy had skinned the roof with some kind of heavy truckers tarp, he had lost interest in it and it sat in his shop until he decided to sell it. Well a long story made short I bought it and read just about everything on the internet that I could then I started working on it, well as they say a picture is worth a thousand words... enjoy!!!

Here is what I started with

Now a few build pictures

Thank you, yea we plan on putting some miles on it, we are going to take it on vacation in June through part of Arizona and Colorado. I will be working on finishing the galley this week, so I will be posting more pictures soon.

Very nice! You have done a great looking job on that.

I am sure there were some people who thought you were crazy when you first towed your project home :)

We had Miss Piggy out for its first season last summer.
Logged 44 nights in it in 2013 and over 12,000 miles.
We travel thru Colorado and just into NM (visited "Four Corners")....and what a wonderful way to travel.
Your are going to rewarded for your efforts in spades!

Looks really nice. I especially like the photo with the two tape measures. You take measuring twice and cutting once real serious.
