hi, everyone,
I'm writing from Virginia Beach, a couple of miles from the "First Landing" state park. I have an academic background (PhD) and now doing technical/engineering work as a Federal employee. Since I can work from home, I'm trying out different cities to see how they feel. I'm also an environmentalist, love the outdoors, love gardening. I'm a believer in living lightly, and well within one's means.
I'm interested in Teardrop trailers, because of their aerodynamic design, and lightweight. I'd like a trailer that I can pull behind a regular car.
ALSO, Teardrops are pretty!!!
I intend to use the trailer as an auxillary storage unit. This year, I'll be planning my 30th (lifetime) move. I move so much, and I hate unpacking. I want a little storage trailer, that can be like a portable closet. And library. I've considered buying a used bookmobile, but I'd rather have a separate trailer. So, my questions are a little different as I won't necessarily want a trailer with a cook stove or mattress.
I'll post questions about trailer builders for hire, trailer design, and vehicles to use to tow the trailer. It's outside my ability to build a trailer, if only due to my limited free time. I'm also planning to buy a new (or new-to-me) vehicle, to use to tow the trailer.
I heard that some folks are planning to come with their Teardrops to First Landing park in April, so I'm planning to go over there and see some in person, to get more ideas of what could be done.
More soon,
++Erika
