Hello from the greater Chicago area

Postby Dandy Dan » Sun Apr 06, 2014 9:57 pm

Been lurking and following many builds for quite sometime. I think I registered way back in 2012 so I could see the photos. I've been so impressed with the projects and talent that I've seen here.

I originally was planning on building a tear.... then was planning on building a larger tear.... now I'm thinking ham! I'm planning on going on some longer duration trips and think I might need the extra space.

My brother is planning on retiring in a couple years and I worked long and hard on convincing him that a monster RV would be agony to tow and it would be too tempting to just sit inside and watch TV all day. Sooooooo....my brother and I will be starting our side-by-side build of two tiny canned hams.

Welcome Dan, I live in Bartlett, so we are neighbors. Check out the midwest section here and the Land of Lincoln section over on Tearjerkers for local gatherings. It's a great place to meet other builders and see some interesting trailers. You DO NOT need a trailer to attend. Camp in what ever you are using now. If you need questions answered, just holler. Lots of friendly people here.
