KC, last I heard she was busy with Grandchildren and Horses... That , and everyone’s so Polite here now , we hardly need a moderator eh ? ... and we’ve already posted all our pet pictures ... No naysayers in a long while ... Guess they gave up when the proof started coming in ...

Idea: Let’s all PM Eagle at once ... :frightened: :R

No you all don't have to start pming me.

I am here, just don't visit everyday. GPW is right, busy with the horse and the shows with the grandkids. We have 1 more show in the Winter Series and then awards. I have the feeling my grandson is going to take home a trophy for this one.
Haven't camped at all this year, and I don't know if I will yet. My foamie is still out back, did not cover it this year. I take a peek inside every so often. Still looks dry.

Here is a story about other uses for the foamie: I have an old steel horse trailer that I use to store my hay/feed and tack in. The door freezes shut when it gets too cold and wet, which it did this year. I happened to have the foamie out back and thought about it and decided to store a couple bales of hay and some buckets of feed in there. It worked great!

Now to answer the burning question of whether or not I ironed out those bubbles on the foamie? Well I have not. Its just cosmetics and it adds to my weird ugly foamie. ;) :wine:

Continue to be nice cuz I am watching (or rather reading) 8)

Gosh we miss you , your interjecting you bit of knowledge and superb experience into this thread is important. It seems that most of the new people coming on are not convinced it is so simple to ..........build in foam. Another testimony from you is helpful. Please add your two cents more often.

I say nay! Nay I say! At least to the all PM at once idea. Let's spread it out over a couple days. Every time she thinks it's over - bing - there's another spate of nosey, nay, inquisitive queries as to her goings on. Or is it going ons.

At least I got some nays in. Haven't gotten to do that for a while.

Just hit me, the curiosity thing. Why were you so keen on getting the hitch thang welded onto the 'Stream's tongue? Other than that you could. Bolted would have been more than strong enough. And much easier to switch out in case of damage or ball size changes.

:beautiful: I did it! Just finished the whole Big Thrifty! A month ago, I had a woodie build all planned out in my mind, when I saw a post about foamies and said, "what's that?" Now I've gotta do some quick thinking, to redo the plan along foamie lines. The deadline- campable by July 1st (trip already planned). 10 weeks: should be possible.

As my Daughter said..............YOU CAN DO IT !!! now don't stop reading read the foam stream and Grits at least look at all the pictures. I will give you a hint, the less curves the faster you can build the curves take time kerfing and bending and gluing it up so ..........I hope the weather cooperates. I have faith you can accomplish it. We will all be here to give you all the feedback and answers you need.

Thanks Mary C.! I will take those words to heart. I have read most of your build already, and will certainly check the photos again. I love that you took it on the road before all the finishing touches had been done, because I might end up needing to do the same.

I am still finishing, Sheryl. I bought some wood yesterday but I have to go back to the wood store again because I need some wood to make a quilting frame. I have wanted to build one for some time but I want the wood here so I can make it later ,when the weather gets really wet. I also have to finish the inside and I got the aluminum hinges yesterday so I have to finish the doors and get them hung and well there is a lot :? more to do I just have to get busy. We all will be interested in your build!!!

" Why were you so keen on getting the hitch thang welded onto the 'Stream's tongue?” ... We didn’t have any bolts , but had a Welder (a good one too) :D

Just would like to mention something else “Thrifty" ... To avoid expensive medical bills at the dermatologist , Best stay out of the radiation from our local Star ... :frightened:

My car got hit by a bus! Ok so we (he who must obey and myself) went across the bay to see a Cirque du Soliel show and the traffic wasn't the best, really tight, especially when taking a turn. Anyways, a bus hit my back end. Too much traffic and it just wasn't the right thing to do to get out and do a check of the damage. So we continued down and into the parking garage. We got out and took a look and I have to say we were shocked. There was NO damage! The bus hit my hitch. :D

So there you go, I popped in to tell you about the hitch saving my car.
