Wolf Pup Camper

Anyone have one? My wife found one for a decent price, but I know nothing about them. I quick google for reviews came across a mixed verdict.

Well, we went and looked at. It was ok, but not quite what I had in mind. He also had a Skyline retro, that was more to our liking. We continue our journey

Disappointing day at dealer. Went to a large dealer today. It wasn't a good experience. I wanted to look at campers, seller wanted to show me campers "online." We finally got to look at 3, had to listen to the sales pitch. How can we put you in this one today speech. Very pushy! I finally had my fill and we left!!! Search continues. We are starting to narrow it down though. We know what we want in a trailer, just have to find it!

The smaller Scamps are really neat.

I think we found our baby. A 17' Casita. Went and saw it tonight and fell in love. To be continued.

Love those things! I just don't have a place to store one (thank you community covenants!). I'm jealous!

I couldn't make it work in my budget, but at least I know what I want now. The misses and I have decided to save a few more dollars and get one in our budget. I have a few things I don't need that I can sell and get a few extra quarters. I did find out they are made a couple of hours away in Rice, Texas.

Wolf pups are very cute and cuddly. They are fun and loving and lots of entertainment when camping. Unfortunately they grow up into real full-size wolves and can be quite dangerous since they are still wild animals. They do tend to make good camp guards so you can leave all of your stuff during the day and it will still be there when you return.

I was going to suggest going to PrincessCraft just north of Austin on I 35. We went there to browse a few years ago. They specialize in tear drops, ALiners, T@Bs, T@Gs and smaller/lightweight trailers. They weren't pushy in any way and were content to let us wander and look to our heart's content, even though we clarified we were in the browse mode and not buy mode.

It was useful in that we were able to be inside a T@B, and realized that we were just too tall; maximum headroom is only 5.9" max, so we could check that off the list.
I noticed they currently have a 2007 Casita listed on their Web site, as well as a 2011 13' scamp. These are both listed at the bottom of the page under the Ultra Light Trailers tab. They also carry the LivinLite all aluminum trailers. These are nicely designed and I liked them, but wondered how they would fare in a hail storm.

My DH is set on a 17' Casita when the time comes. If you watch the Texas craigslist, they come up quite often and in good shape, with various late models listed.
Several friends have bought them and have no complaints and use Suburbans as the tow vehicles. Other people we know have the 13' Patriot model, but they use it for weekend trips only.
