Helo from Mesquite TX

Hello my name is Eduardo
I'm planning to build a camper trailer. The plan is a wooden cage on top of a 5x10 trailer, with another smaller wooden cage on top that will sandwich together.
The idea is you can fold it down for towing reducing air drag, and unfold it once in the camp site most like a pop-up camper would do.
For the rolling/unfolding system I'm still not sure how to make it, all I know is if it needs an army of people, or it takes me the whole afternoon to unfold is an automatic NO-GO.
So for 1 person doing it in 5 minutes or less without sweating a single drop (I'm a lazy guy), I'm thinking some pulleys, some garage rollers, some cables and a winch.

The trailer also have some wings that will either fold out (hinges and cables) or roll out (think a big drawer slider) to increase the sleeping people capacity.

If you have any suggestions, or you think this is a bad idea PLEASE DO tell me and explain why.
Ii'm attaching the sketch up model for your review.
Thank you for your time

Welcome to the Forum.
Sounds like you are planning to build a pop up or tent trailer to me.
Why not build a TD?
You will love it and the friends of equal interests that come along with TD camping.
Oh! and the set up time is way less with a TD.
Gives you more time to relax and have beer after the drive, rather than dealing with cranks, cables, zippers, etc.

First off Welcome to the forums.

I Downloaded your Sketchup plans and looked at it. That style of Pop-up is called a High-low. High-low campers usually have a complete 5 sided box, open on the bottom, that slips over another 5 sided box, that is open on the top. It is buildable. But you need to change a few things. The Top box should slide up and over the bottom box. This will make a solid shell cover for the hole camper open and closed. If the top box slided into the bottom box, you will get water in to the seams, the top box will hit the bed, chairs, and everything in the camper coming down.

Here is a quick example of the top over bottom Hi-Low idea.

There is a Hi-low in the Foamy section made out of foam and fiberglass, and is pulled by a motorcycle. great trailer.

Also check out this link of trailer build here that have a pop up section on them.
