Scad-A-Bout owners I NEED your help.........

Postby Crazy4Kits » Sun Apr 20, 2014 11:17 pm

I've been rebuilding a early 60's Scad-A-Bout teardrop since Feb. of this year. The only original parts that I'm was able to use are the frame, windows and metal rear hatch lid. My problem is I can't figure out how the original rear skirt was designed. I have the original skin but it just has a 2x2 hanging from the end of it. It had long ago rotted and fallen off. I know how older Benroys rear skirts are assembled. But, my frames rear cross member is only about 1" in from the rear of the wood floor. I CAN"T see how it was attached. I'm at the point where the tear is sitting upside down on my shop floor and I'm applying the Henry's roof sealer. I can't finish applying it until I figure the rear skirt out.

Does anyone have a Scad-A-Bout that I could see a pic of and get some information from????????????????????

Stuck in Oregon..........

]Close to what she looks like now. She isn't bolted to the trailer yet. I pulled her off, flipped it upside down, to get ready to seal the bottom and then hit a snag......see my first post. I have a lot more pics of the build process if anyone is interested I could post some......
