Hello from Vancouver

Postby lisavancouver » Thu Apr 24, 2014 2:24 pm

Hello!

I'm Lisa from Vancouver BC. We are a family of four (kids are 5 & 6) who camp most weekends in the summer exploring beautiful BC. Currently we have a darling 74 Boler camper that we adore, but are looking to make the move to a teardrop. Our reasons are twofold.... first, we NEVER use the kitchen inside our Boler. We always cook outside. We only really sleep in the Boler (which is rather a waste of the kitchen inside the Boler). Second, we can't fit the Boler in our garage (too tall) and storage costs in Vancouver are no small matter. So.....we are hoping to move to a teardrop this season. Since we are a family of 4, we will need a 6 ft wide cabin to fit a king bed. I much prefer the silver/classic look over the white decaled variety. We are also hoping to find our camper in Canada to avoid the import hassle. We are happy to buy new/used or commission a custom build, but can't break the bank. I'd love any and all advice on where/how to proceed. I'm happy to post in the For Sale/ Wanted section if that's the best place?

Anyway, glad to be here. Look forward to jumping in and becoming teardropped.

and just for kicks, I'm adding a picture of our Boler.

Thanks!

Lisa

Welcome to the Forum Lisa & Family
This is a great place to be!
We too are here in B.C. and are deep into our new love for Teardrop camping and the Teardrop family.
Last year was our first year of camping with our new Teardrop "Miss Piggy" and it was fantastic! :applause: Also we started a Tear Jerkers Chapter (click on out TJ Logo below and it will take you directly to the Tear Jerkers Forum) here in B.C. and are up to 20 members around the Province.
As you see we are also in the Street Rod Hobby where Bolers have always been very popular and in high demand. So if you are thinking of selling send me your information ([email protected]) as I keep a "finder list" and have people that may be interested.
Also if you are interested in becoming a member of our TJ Chapter (totaly free!) we would love to add you to the list and provide you with the camping information that comes across my desk.
Look forward to hearing more from you very soon.
Camping season begins this Saturday for us as we are off to the Dam Gathering at Lake Shasta.

Hello and thanks for the tips.
I did hear about Adventure Teardrop but have not been successful in finding contact info for them! The website has been down for some time and I can't seem to find a phone #. If anyone could pass on some contact info I'd be mighty grateful!

Brian & Sandi, thanks for the warm welcome! When we find our teardrop we will certainly be selling the Boler. I know they go like hotcakes around here and have a few friends in line for one. If I don't pass it on quickly in my small network, I will certainly send you the info! And, as soon as we have out teardrop, I'd love to be added to your list. Thanks!!
