wanna show your DC wiring set ups?

Postby MMOLLECK » Fri May 02, 2014 9:27 am

Hey all, was wondering if you all would like to post pictures of your DC wiring set ups in your trailers. I know there are several threads on here with pictures floating everywhere, but was thinking it would be easiest to just have an all in one thread….if theres already a thread like this, feel free to delete this! Im wanting to see everyones set ups for ideas to incorporate into my trailer (cargo conversion). I tend to over thing very easy stuff, and my DC wiring is falling into that boat. Im trying to figure out, the best, and easiest way to mount a fuse block, ground block, and master switch from scratch….and what size main fuse to run. Thought this could be a pretty useful thread to anyone in process of converting, or building a TD. Im a picture guy, so lets see some pictures!

Here is a link to a Jeep site I used to belong to. This thread is a tutorial on something I did on my last jeep (this is my jeep in the thread). In the Jeep world, there is something called an S-pod. A S-spod is a switch cluster which comes pre wired with relays and everything where you can just mount it, plug it in, and have a simple and easy location to mount powered accessories. Instead of having to drill new holes, run new wire…this keeps it nice and simple. when you get a new accessory, you just plug into the relay, pop in a fuse and its done! This is what I am thinking of doing for my trailer. I don't think I would need the relays since I'm not running high wattage accessories, but wiring a fuse block like this, pre grounded, so I can just plug and play. Hope this is useful to someone and gets your gears spinning!
