Greetings from East Texas

Hello fellow camping enthusiasts,
I was at Beavers Bend state park in OK last week end. I saw a bunch of really cool tear drops and tiny trailers and talked to some of their owners. I think I met Oklahoma Jewel and her hubby. They showed me their wonderful jewel box that is for sale.
She told me that she built her first tear drop. I froze the night before even with a camping heater in my tent. I was ready to duct tape up my summer tent when I hear that high winds and storm are coming, sleep in the group cabin. Those beds are as hard as a rock. I couldn't sleep and at 1:30am I packed up and went to my mother in laws in Idabel.
I came home and told my hubby I wanted a tear drop that my pt cruiser turbo could pull .
He found a 4/10 trailer in the harbor freight circular on sale in may for $359.
That is our beginning. We are thinking. I need input from anyone about my 2006 pt cruiser turbo pulling a trailer. I did find some info on another discussion site, but they are strangers.
The dealership says towing is not recommended. If an accord can do it .....
He hasn't looked at this site and I am still trying to figure out the navigation.
Thanks, Mike for letting me in. I look forward to talking to new friends. :D

Welcome! Before I totaled our Honda CR-V we used it to pull the teardrop. (Ours was front wheel drive.) The CR-V pulled the teardrop fantastically. There have been others here that have pulled with PT Cruisers. I can't recall if they were turbo'ed.

If you haven't already, check out the South Central section on the forum to find out about area gatherings.
