I bought a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo today for my future teardrop Hauler.

My Brother had one. He liked it just fine. I will caution you, they will hydroplane pretty easy.

Have always liked the classy ( to me at least) design.

Any vehicle can hydroplane. It is more the fault of the tire being worn or underinflated, the vehicle speed being too high for the conditions and is more common with wide tires.

Enjoy the XJ, I had one for about 15 years.

Thank you! I like the look of the bigger tires, but I had a nice set of road tires, a little smaller, so I bought an extra set of wheels, and put those tires on the new/used wheels... It rides so much smoother and handles a lot better!! But I love the Cherokee! I tinkered around this weekend, I will definitely have to put some money into brakes, rotors and drums before I haul the trailer over any mountains!! but seems pretty strong... should do the job nice! Then if I ever manage to get my dream truck again, a 1955 Ford F100, then I can turn the jeep into an off road Monster!
