Thanks,

Yea I'm taking a chance on this one. My Tear is going to have a bit of extra weight on the tongue due to the tongue box (where the battery will be) and two kayaks on a rack ontop which is centered forward of the wheels a bit due to the profile of the tear. I've noticed that some move the axle and some don't. I'm just worried a bit about tongue weight. My truck can handle it, but not my GFs Mazda 3 hatchback...
I actually have a bunch more pics to upload of my progress but I can't put them up until tonight.

Hi everybody, long time no see!!
So sometime last October after building every weekend and doing full time construction as my job, I got burnt out. I needed a break. Unfortunately I didn't plan on the break lasting all winter. Well after a winter full of hiking and mountain climbing I finally got the bug again and started up the Harbor Freight build! So I went to my dads yesterday to see where I left off. It took me a couple of hours of standing there staring at the trailer just to figure out what my train of thought had been. Where I left off last fall was I had the trailer built, decked, and framed. I also got the interior skinned and the 4 interior lights installed (2 reading leds and 2 main overhead leds). I also started the wall/cabinet areas that seperate the galley and the interior. Oh and the wires run that would be the switches for the lights.119767119768119769119770119771119774112795

I also insulated the walls with R5 sheet foam. I skinned the interior with 1/4 luan (that happened to have a pretty grain to it) but unfortunately it ended up getting a fairly large crack in it. Since the glue had already set up I was freaking out. I thought that all my hard work was going to be blemished with this giant break. However the day was saved when my dad came up with the brilliant idea to skin over that with 1/8 inch baltic birch which he explained was really bendy. I skinned over the interior ceiling with it and it came out great!!

So anyways I scratched my head for a while yesterday and I realized that if I get all the wires that will be located in the roof set and permanized I could insulate it and skin the roof and front. So off to the big blue box store (a co-worker once called it "blowes") I went and picked up some more wire, a couple of rocker switches and a few other odds and ends. I pretty much have the interior section wired and ready to go for insulation on the roof. I don't have anything wired up for the galley yet as I don't quite know what I'm going to do for lighting or radio or anything yet.

One question I have for people is I am definitely going to use the fanstatic fan for it but does anybody know which side of the vent the wires will have to come in? I have the wires ran for it and I'm not sure which side of the opening to run them through. Also is 12 gauge wire good enough for the load?

Thanks everybody. Feel free to ask questions or give comments. You guys/girls will be hearing form me alot more! Also all these photos were taken in the fall with my cellphone. I finally got a new camera this winter and I'll get some better pics up soon.

Great looking build!

Fantastic fan wires on drivers side, decent images in my build thread on page two or three I think.
