My name is Mike,
I am very interested in building a teardrop trailer. My wife used to love to tent camp when she was younger 30 years ago. I want to go camping but don't want to tent camp. The military cured me of any desire to tent camp.

I thought a teardrop trailer would be a good compromise. I am also looking for a new project. I work in IT and want to do something with my hands. I bought the plans for the cubby as a starting point and hope to start the project in June.

This looks like a fun hobby, I can't wait to get started.

Mike, welcome to the madness. I am sure with a lot of reading and looking at the different builds you will be able to jump right in, I built mine "Grits" out of foam and had a blast. I am still working on it but it is coming along. there are lots of ways of building and you will make your build your own, Good Luck

I'm from "The Thumb" of Michigan and I recently became a member too. I've already bought and assembled a heavy duty Harbor Freight 4 x 8 trailer but haven't decided on a final body style. I'm plan on taking my time with the build as well, sort of a project to keep me busy. Everyday on this site offers new ideas! Welcome!
