do you have any holding tanks for the shower?
I am guessing that is grey indoor outdoor carpet on the walls?
looks great

I have a 28gal tank going under the sink. I got it a Northern Tool on sale. The tank is a ATV sprayer with a 75psi on-demand 12v pump. I also have a on-demand inline Triton 5L water heater which will be mounted outside when needed.

WOW!!! Outstanding build...

How do you keep the bed in the down position without
pinning the DW up against the ceiling???? OOOPS, ... sorry honey (he-he-he-he-he).

Funny you asked. I spent some time in a big box store trying to figure that out today. I came up with using slide bolt locks used for exterior fences. The slide bolts will lock into the SuperStrut slots. This will hold the bed in any position I need. (Hopefully) :worship:

I'll use a 5gal bucket or a roll away if camping in a camp ground to catch the grey water.

Great job on the bed lift. It looks like you have access to some cupboards in the bed frame. What do you plan on storing there? Will weight in the cupboard area matter much? Do you have any kind of a latch or lock system to keep it either in the up or down position?

edit: never mind I see now that you answered the latch issue.
Again, nice work!

The cabin side will be for clothes and blankets and the back side will be for light weight equipment. If I get more weight then I can lift with the current spring assist, I can get some heavier duty springs to make up the difference. The ones I have are the lightest duty I could find. If you go that route, Ace Hardware was the only store I could find them.

For springs you could go to one of the Overhead Door Companies. Always some near any Metro area.

RWH and others who have added extensively to the interior of their CT,

When you planned and assembled your layout, did you pay any particular attention to the balanced weight over each set of axles. What I mean is that on yours, RWH, from the back looking in, you seem to have the left side heavily loaded versus what you have on the right side. Is this not a concern, especially if you have tandem axles? Or have you take into account the toys you are going to carry and their presence will balance things well enough over the wheels?

I was going to take the time to estimate weights of what I will add to the left and right sides of a line down the middle and see how the balance looks. What I do about it will depend on the calculated and real results as I go along.

I did a little rough calculation in my planning but I wasn't overly concerned about it with tandem axles. I tried to even the load by placing my dredge and battery on the lighter side. I also have about 100+ lbs in dive weights that I can move around to find the best solution. My biggest problem may be too tongue heavy. If that becomes a problem, I can move my water tank closer to the axles. :frightened:

I too was thinking my water and other items like battery placement will be determined at the end for this very reason.

Finally back from Paris and London. I can get back to finishing up my trailer now. The weather is starting to get a bit warmer and I am itching to get back to the river and do a little camping in my new toy.

WooHoo finally done :). I put some more pics on my photobucket link of the final product. I'll post a couple IMG here later tonight. I'm already planning my first outing this weekend so wish me luck.

I looked at your postings on Photobucket.
Great job. Looks very functional and has a great appearance at the same time. You have proven to me that one can blend a gray carpet wall with stained wall covering. This was something I wanted and was not sure about how it would look. Well now I do not have to wonder anymore.

And at first I wondered about counter space, but noticed the drop table later in your photos. That works. The chairs are just right also. Can one buy them today? They look like ones my parents used to have.

Home depot has some that are very similar to mine. Mine are from a local shop. Thx for the good words. I put a lot of work into this project. Figured 12 weeks total minus vacation and weather days.
