old style trunk and hood supports

I went to the Morro Bay, Ca car show last wkend. I say much of what one usually sees nice cars and nice engines. But I went early trucks were up which is a site you really see 8)
Hold the truck up were these.

and they also has belts holding the hoods down that one could see normally

Oh my goodness, I have those curled up round hinges on my teardrop. Any idea what year vehicle they are from. It may help me date my teardrop.

I have those same style hinges on my 1949 Chevy Pu. They are stock from late 1947 until the early 55 model pickups. :D

I think they were on a 1948 chevy fleetline but I look at several youtubes of them and non had it.

But if that chevy pickup has them maybe it was. Sorry I did not pay close attention to the car make or year.

I will keep my eye's open we get lost of antique car shows here. Just have to come early when the trunk is up and they are still waxing the cars.
