Electrical Planing for the lost trailer

Planing out my wiring options for the trailer

My max build out

Exterior
Task light for tongue
Area light on left right, rear
360°roof light for locating trailer.

Main compartment
Dome light
Task/Reading light for each side
Powerport 12v (2)
Two HT chargers
FT-817 or FT-857
Tokyo Hi power Amp if using the 817
RCI CB 10-12meter
Laptop
Heater - how necessary? We normally backpack, easily comfortable to 0° our tent has taken 8" of snow and we were toasty, the trailer has the 3/4" rigid foam.
Fan - Thinking two really quiet PC fans in conjunction with with two windows should be enough.

Rear compartment
Area lighting
Task lighting (2)
outlet (2) GFI

Any suggestions on distribution/wiring?
Anything I am forgetting?

I have placed a weather proof duplex outboard for canopy lights and other assorted 120 volt ac needs.

Yep you should have seen me outside setting in my camp chair with a box fan in my face :fan:

This pops out in your post: "Fan - Thinking two really quiet PC fans in conjunction with with two windows should be enough."

I don't know where you're planning on camping. My first teardrop was commercailly biult. It had one computer fan in it. I added a second one. It wasn't enough. You put two people in a tiny littel teardrop of a spot and it can warm up. For last summer's build I put a Fantastic Fan in and I think it's going to be the cat's meow.

Heater? An electric mattress pad heater or electric blanket (both 12V) to preheat your bed. This thing is going to be a lot warmer on a cold night than your tent ever was.

We have two 80MM three speed Antec case fans in our tear which has a greater than normal interior volume and have run them on high only a couple of times. Placement may be key however.
79656
We have two exterior duplex 120VAC outlets, one separate dedicated to the AC unit. Inside there are five duplex and in the galley two duplex outlets.
12VDC three outlets inside and one outside to power the refrigerator when we do not have 120AC. There is one heavy duty 12V in the tongue box to be used to either feed via jumper cables from the TV alternator.
This may sound like a lot, but they have all been used!

There are a lot of "computer fans" out there.... Its all about CFM of air they move ... To classify all "computer fans" as unacceptable is unfortunate....

Dale:

Thanks for "clearing the air" on computer fans. Please accept my apologie for my uneducated unacceptable classification of the devices. :?

There's no question that you're right about lumping all computer fans in one pile. That'd be about like saying, "I had a fan in my teardop and it just didn't do the job."

I'll stick to my three speed, reversible 920 CFM Fantastic Fan. Pulls about 4 amps and has a bug screen on it.
