I agree with KC and Esteban. Very nicely constructed and finished. I particularly like the wood grain. Did you build your draw fronts and doors out of maple?

BTW, I used DAP Dynaflex as my default general sealant for "exterior accessories" including the conduit entrances, trailer lighting, door hardware, etc. It dries clear and is paintable (but doesn't require painting). I bought it in the little squeeze tubes rather than the caulk gun size tubes.

Thanks for the links, Steve. One of my favorite things about your posts is looking forward to looking at the links. I am using the same LED oval lights with a chrome ring. Got them from Frank Bear, I believe.

As for the cabinets, they are maple and I am also using maple for my interior cabinets, as well. These will have a little more "zebra stripe" to them, but I am not staining them. They will stay natural with poly. Otherwise, I am using birch for my interior and exterior ply skins. No stain on the interior, but I will match the "gunstock" stain in my galley to my exterior skin. And, thanks for the compliments! We made mistakes, but covered them as best as possible, so we are happy.

It was a long two days and I thought we would accomplish more, but I guess we did get a lot prepped. I put 2 coats of polyurethane on 3 sheets of 1/4" 4 x 8 Birch Ply for my interior walls. I thinned it with some mineral spirits so it would go on easily. Will probably do one more coat undiluted. Got both side walls cut out, but I still need to play with the final profile. I need to smooth out the front bottom so it is more pleasing to the eye (for me, anyway). We also got all the insulation cutouts marked up and cut out. Marking up the profile took about twice as long as it did to cut out the pieces. Wanted to be sure we had reinforcements where we needed them.

Thanks Joanie and Randy! My aluminum was ordered today and we got a full sheet so no seams are needed and it will be delivered in 2 weeks. I have almost everything I need and it is just waiting to be assembled. That part of the planning has worked out for us. It is all coming together, but school keeps getting in the way! sheesh! Memorial day weekend will be the clincher for getting everything finished.

Randy, I had read about the curved corners, so we did the same. The cut outs turned out nice, I think. Next step is to put on the interior skins and get my door cut out, then attach the walls.

Steve, thanks for the link! That looks like a beautiful cedar, if I finally got my woods straight. I still have to figure out what is going to give my woody sides that little extra.... I have seen different wood types, panels or tongue and groove sides, and wooden trims of different colors. I guess when I get it done, I will know what touch I need to add to get my sides looking just right instead of plain. Suggestions welcome! I already am committed to a slight aluminum trim all around the edge from the RV roof edge molding, but don't have any wood accents on my side walls planned except for the stained wood. Hmmm... I have three weeks to figure it out. If I didn't share with you all yet, my first trip is in 3 weeks. YIKES! So progress will have to be made fast! Wish me luck!

Spent a few hours sanding the profile and doors today. Took a lot of that time to get the spacing for my doors correct. We then played around with the shore power outlet and wired it up to see if we knew how. It worked and then we cut a whole for it in my driver's side wall. Brought out the poly-ed interior walls, glued them and then weighted them down. Stacked both side walls together with the door shimmed for placement with the interior walls in the middle. They are separated by a long piece of cloth. (It might have been a long piece of fabric that my mom was going to use for something, but she wasn't here to say no.)

We used pin nails to make sure the interior skin stayed down. Can't even see them. We hope to get the side walls erected by tomorrow night!!
