Family Heirloom

Postby Corwin C » Sun May 18, 2014 10:35 am

I received a family heirloom this weekend. I believe that it is a 1967 Aristocrat Lo-Liner (I still don't have the official paperwork.) This is the trailer that my family took camping when I was a child. Unfortunately, water damage, cracked and punctured siding, dry rot, structural failure, and a host of other maladies is going to make restoration impractical. It spent many weekends being drug unceremoniously by a CJ-5 through some of the roughest terrain in southern Utah. It received a suspension "lift" after a dunk in a creek that went badly which will be undone. The largely angle iron frame will be re-welded and bent/missing members replaced. In discussing with the rest of the family, it has been agreed that a redesign/rebuild along the lines of the Big Pink is in order.

Interior pictures are forthcoming ... I can't get in the door while it's on the transport trailer. This build will be sometime in the future, more pressing projects are ahead of it, so don't expect a thread right away.

Looks more like a Lil Loofer than a Lo-Liner, Aristocrat just the same.

Think Gage is correct. The lo-liner had quite a different profile, especially in the front...

Yep, as said above, and it does NOT have the same profile as the Aristocrat Land Commander....but a sweet inheritance and a noble restoration project to take on.
