Hello from SoCal

Postby CampingMech » Fri May 16, 2014 4:37 pm

Hello, My name is Mechele. My family and I recently put a deposit down on a Camp-Inn Raindrop, which will be ready in October. This is our first tiny trailer but we are not completely new to teardrops, as my dad is Cherokee George here on the forum. We will now be a two Camp-Inn family! As a family of four (we have two little girls) we researched quite a bit before deciding on the Raindrop, we tried out a tent trailer (meh, not for us), and even shopped around for a Westfalia for awhile. So now we wait (and sleep on a few more rocks) for October to roll around. Happy camping!

Welcome aboard Mechele! You're getting the best manufactured teardrop out on the market. I know your dad is very happy with his. It won't be this summer, but next winter you can do some camping without sleeping on the rocks. In the meantime, check with dad on all the tricks on teardrop camping so you don't have to take the long trip of finding them all out on your own. Doug

Hey Mech, welcome to the family, I mean forum, you'll find a lot of useful and fun info here. As well as some real good people. Can't wait till we can get those puppys parked next to each other in a campground, time to start making some special memories for those beautiful granddaughters of mine. :)

The only warning I have for you is watch out for those little red peppers your Dad likes to trick people with when he is fixing fajitas. My mouth is still burning. Welcome to the world of teardrops.

Yeah but if you camp next to Donna you'll get some of the best maid service you've ever had. Including mints on your pillow. 8)

Welcome to the wacky wourld of Teardrops Mechele. Looking forward to meeting you guys. Know your dad well. Just live on the other side of the mountain from him and have been to many campouts with him. Because of my health issues I''ve had to park the teardrop :( and move up to a standy. :)

Welcome aboard, Mechele. It would be interesting to know what part of So Cal you are located in. There are a number of us down here and I hail from Wildomar. Whenever I see a Camp-Inn in a campground, I tenderly run my fingers along the wooden trim and metal members. When asked what I am looking for, I tell the owner: "I'm looking for flaws, and there are none!" I am sure your Raindrop will be the same. It seems that the Wisconsin boys have the answer to a growing family, with this inovation in teardrops. Good luck and enjoy your new toy.
:) 8) Roly, the li'l ol' woody TD guy, just to name one, of a few.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I can't wait to camp our tears side by side too, Dad! Roly, we live in N.County San Diego. I look forward to meeting all of you while camping someday. I'll be the one in the Raindrop with two adorable little girls.
