I was wondering if it was just me!

Nope, not you. After a couple of hours of it, and checking other sites, I realized it was T&TTT, not me. :x Sure hope the "pros" can figure it out. Sure was nice a month ago!

Same here.

However...

It was the same for me with this OTHER site that I go to as well, at the exact same time. (No, not a porno site--those ALWAYS work well.)

So I'm just talking BS here, but...

I think a lot of it has to do with how the huge regional mega-servers communicate with each other. Like, it may have nothing to do with our little itty bit host at all, and that tons of other sites are also being affected.

We just happen to only care about this TEARDROP site.
Here we go again!

...same here early afternoon...I was looking at what was going on in the background and nothing special...it is either a server [roblem at the host or something regional like Ira suggested

Really weird. I don't know enough about computers to understand all that happens behind the scenes. I just push the keys, click on buttons and expect everything to happen in milliseconds. I get frustrated when it takes 60 seconds or more to do something which normally happens before I can blink an eye. Patience isn't one of my virtues.

...some of the problems we were having had to do with bots from the search engines getting online with us and sucking up available resources...we have been working to stop that using various means with at least a little luck...we are on a shared server with the host so that traffic on others sites that get hit heavy can affect us and that was a problem that the hosting co was/is working on...as I say...Ghosts in the Machine....

I don't know which is worse though, getting logged on and having to wait for agonizingly slow speeds or not getting on at all. I wasn't even able to get on.

It must be really bad for you. At $23 a month, how could I refuse DSL. Hell, AOL cost more than that and it's junk.

And to think, that someone keeps blaming it on the Spam Bots(?). TeardropTimes was never slow, just not there sometimes.

Have a good day.

Back to the Shasta pics.

Geesh, this is so frustrating... to you all as well as me...

It's running fine right now, but if it gets bad again I'll submit another trouble ticket.

MJ might be right though... we had a spambot pollute the FAQ today...
