If you want them that perfect, buy new ones. Chrome plating prices have made it very expensive to rechrome. But if those particular moons are special to you just call Salt Lake Chrome 801-355-2864. They are about as good as anyone and can give you a price over the phone. They do everything. You don't have to clean them up first.

Funny that you bring up this thread today.....I am just now in the hunt for a set of wheels that I can put Baby Moon hubcaps on. Just got my axle kit in and the hubs are 5 bolt on 5.5 inch centers, any ideas?

Unfortunately my 5 lug on 5.5 center wheels were not available from vintagetrailersupply. But I did find his company:

http://www.wheelvintiques.com/

They have the wheels and Baby Moons that I am looking for. USA made as well.

did you try to clean them up. I have had decent results with turtle wax chrome polish. I saw somewhere that using foil sprayed with oil will remove rust, but I haven't tried that. A local place where I live sells new baby moon hub caps for $17. They have about 4 different sizes. Some fit inside the center and some fit outside on the three little bumps. I bought new wheels from us wheel. They came with the caps, and I could pick my bolt pattern. However I had to spend $ on them.
