Not so new.

I've been a forum member for a while now spending time learning everything I could about TD's. My campaign began several years ago when I saw my first td on the road. It took two years to bring my husband on board. It took another year to decide whether to build or buy. I've haunted Craig's list, ebay and the forums for used td's. Our finances are limited and the right price, weight and location finally came together. For our 40th anniversary gift to ourselves (today is the big day) we purchased Doug -Pigcooker's homemade tear. I think his wife is thrilled to have it out of the driveway.
Doug's design was basic and simple - just what we wanted. Now we are planning our own conversion - revamping the tear to make it our own. I have some galley changes in mind and a complete exterior painting. The tear fits in a back bay of our garage in front of our two cars. Tomorrow we begin planning the renovation and hope to be on the road in a few weeks.
We are in Woodstock, IL the farthest northwest suburb of Chicago and a short drive north gets us into Lake Geneva,WI. Would love to hear from any locals on the forum.
