3600 mile Tear Drop trip

Postby captbobh2o2004 » Wed May 21, 2014 6:30 pm

Hi Everyone, Peg and I are just back from a 3600 mile trip with out "Tear" Everything went great but I must tell you if your planning a trip with a Tear Drop, don't get in a hurry! Every time we stopped we drew a crowd! At Dangerfield State Park we had folks from 730AM until 9PM.
We did see several other Tear Drops along the way on the road. I plan to spend the next few days making a few changes and then we will be off North bound?? Capt. Bob, Peg and "Red"the wonder dog

Looks like a swell time...I think talking to all the people is what makes it fun and interesting, especially the foreigners who are visiting this great country of ours.
I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction, the world will have a generation of idiot's.

Looks like a fun adventure. It's hard to explain to people that don't have a teardrop how they draw strangers in. Keep posting the Pics!

Hi Captain Bob and Peggy,
Have you ever considered charging for the tour? Like you said," everywhere we stopped". One camper we met on our last trip had sailed around the world and written a book about it. A very interesting man and his wife from Alaska and a new friend. Having a conversation starter like a Teardrop adds a new dimension to camping.
Enjoy, Chris

Congratulations on a successful trip, Captain Bob and Peggy. Your teardrop and tow vehicle make a lovely combination.
That looks like a beautiful teardrop....would love to see some pictures of the inside, if you could direct me to them. Thanks!

...Hope you enjoy a full summer of fun trips with lots of "tear tours"!

Tours are great ice breakers. Always make the bed. You don't know when you will be showing your TD off. If you think a TD draws tours. Try a woody TD. Today 5 tours and I was asked, Is it for the dog. :D

Yes, tours are part of the fun!
We do them "Every" time we stop!
And have also done them on the move ........red lights, pull outs, etc.
Enjoy!

Gas stations, you forgot gas stations ;-)

I've given tours in gas stations, shopping center parking lots, and highway rest stops. First question is "do you sleep in there," and my teardrop is really conventional looking compared to Brian & Sandi's Miss Piggy
