The hinge is a Tilla 2000 installed by the previous owner. It's similar to a living-hinge but it uses a molded, flexible polyurethane insert as the hinge with aluminum mounting flanges. A very durable and waterproof hinge, it should take paint very well too. The next post will show how I will channel the water down the sides of the hatch once I pick up some more loctite pls10 polyurethane sealant. Great, paintable stuff for sealing the edges of the canvas and smoothing inside corners. Too bad it takes days to dry.

Here's the side view of the hinge when open. Any water running down should drip into the aluminum channel.

We also started painting the side of the trailer.

Her'es the semi-finished result. I still have to paint one more layer of trees.
The darkest color looked a bit too green.

I also got the 100 watt renology flexible solar panel mounted onto an adjustable multi-angle frame.
It can be tilted front to back or side to side. It's riveted to an aluminum angle frame. With stays on pin connections to raise and lower each corner independently.

Nice, both the paint and the panel mount. Good work!
