Your trailer is looking very good Lauren, one day I hope to see the finished tear at one of the gatherings.

Thank you! You guys really make it look a lot easier than it is!! We have a hard time cutting our big sheets of ply on our table saw and keeping it a straight cut. Just lots of small misalignments, etc. I think the final product will look a lot better than it is looking now especially when we get all of our blemishes covered. Thanks for the compliment and I, too, hope to make it to a few gatherings so I can say thanks in person to everyone who helped.

Lots is being done every day and Dad has a long list for tomorrow. I also got 2 more ceiling panels polyed tonight. Here are some pictures of our progress.


Headboard framing and wall put in place. Nailed the top and bottom pieces and taped the doors into place so we can mark the hinge placement. Cut outs for opening will be put in at the top and I will sand them with a dremel until I like them.


Framing for the inner upper cabinets, from the top and front. Then we got it all nailed in and put in the cabinet floor. Cabinets are cut and will be put together tomorrow (poly is drying tonight).


Here is the galley with the drawers fixed for clearance on the left and right with my drawer pulls installed. Upper cabinets are still not installed since we are running wires up behind the left one and through the bulkhead and into the inner cabinet to a chase. This will be where I put my outlets inside and out. My 12V will be coming in from the roof spars into the center inner cabinet behind a false wall, but I guess this is also called a chase. So, there will be 2. My cabinet doors are inside and just need to be hung. Tops to the upper cabinets will be on tomorrow as well. Galley is basically done though and I think it looks pretty nice. The maple cabinets will look beautiful I think.

On a roll now! There should be a hatch being started tomorrow, inner roof skins and electrical wiring laid out. It had been a crazy week and it will probably stay that way until we finish!

Your teardrop is coming together beautifully. Really like the contrast between the two stain colors in the galley. It makes the cabinets "pop".

Thanks, Steve, Sharon, KC and finleycraft! We planned A LOT in advance and I had all my cabinets stained and poly-ed back in February so it was a "quick" installation. I did spend a lot of time on my finish so thanks for the compliment, KC. I did not get much done today as I had to do work stuff until 8pm. I will keep the pics coming as we get a lot of the big stuff in this weekend. Thanks for your kinds words and support!

Well, a lot has been completed in the past 4 days, but I can't seem to upload the photos. I resized them, but maybe I was trying to upload too many at the same time. Will try again.

We got all the wiring done, all the interior cabinets in, the interior roof skin (which was the hardest thing I have had to do thus far), stained and poly-ed the outer side walls (another fiasco... working with spar urethane is a pain in my behind), got the hatch framed up, and I think that covers it.

Going to install the side walls tomorrow and attach the outer and inner lights. We will then skin the hatch, wire it, install roof insulation, and get as much done as possible.

We have been working 15-16 hour days and are pretty exhausted at this point. Nothing like a deadline to motivate.

Lauren, your build is looking great. Good progress. I like the wood stain colors, and the storage cabinets designs inside.

It wont be long and you will be taking it out for its maiden camping trip
