Lego Campers

Back in 1968 when I went to live in the University Dorm I took a little tub of Legos. People laughed at me a bit but by the end of the year almost everyone in that dorm had stopped in to play with the Legos.

okay. we build campers out of foam why not legos. just get model cement the good old really good super glue stuff and make your hole normal teardrop out of legos!

weight and cost, lego isn't cheap, and if you built a 5x8 tear out of it it would be heavy (if you have the chance heft a bin full, I helped at a daycare type place and was amazed at the weight of a laundry basket sized bin). Foam is the grown up version of lego!

How about some foam interlocking blocks and an easy to use glue kit? Put the blocks together first to finalize the design and then glue them together. Probably still weigh a bunch and cost would be much higher than a sheet of foam.

They also have those big lego blocks for the little kids. Would be less expensive and lighter than a small lego camper since one block would take up more space.

I must've missed out on something as a kid, having never had Legos. Used "Lincoln Logs", then the "Erector" sets took their place. By the time I got step-kids, Legos were past tense.

I had Lincoln Logs and Erector sets also. And a few other building sets. Chemistry sets, Electronic sets. Then before I went to college my much younger sisters got Legos.

I wonder how long before someone builds a teardrop that looks like it is made of legos, lots of talent here. I can see someone doing it. If I had the patience to do it right ,,,,,,,,
