Any one think this might be one of the most unusual tow vehicles?

Looks like about a 41' Chrysler that was converted to a pickup during the war to get more gas stamps, and I could very well be 180 out too! :NC

I do believe it to be a 1948 Chevrolet. (Not Chrysler) And it is a converted car into a pick-up. Popular in the 40's.

The ad claimed 48 ford business coup, converted. Apparently still runs. Waiting for the wife to take a look....

Unless the chassis is from a '48 Ford, There ain't nothing Ford showing in that picture. Still cool, though.

I remember seeing a couple of those Chevy's running around in San Diego as a child & as an adult.
If I'm not mistaken, they were ordered that way.
Reminds me of the 1939 Holden Ute (Australian) at the Lemay Collection near by.
Has a 1939 Chevy front end.
One year at the Lemay car show and auction I had to keep people off it and nearby vehicles for a couple hours.
Beautifully restored and yes it would make a great tow vehicle along with the other Chevy.
