Newbie from South Dakota

Postby fireforged » Tue Jun 10, 2014 9:09 am

I grew up camping way off the grid and always in primitive campgrounds. Lately I found that the ground was getting too hard and the camps were too hard to set up. So I have decided to ease the way with a small camper. Plan to use it for extended three season camping. Don't think I need anything fancy or electrical. Just a portable shelter to crawl into at night that I can say that I made myself. I have been lurking here for years and enjoy the inventiveness and abilities of the people on this board. I hope to have a build journal and use the expertise here to solve any problems I encounter.

Welcome and Great Attitude, When I built mine I had to finish by a date specific to go camping. My advise is "Get UR Done", and put the bells and whistles on later. I currently have five different projects ongoing to make my TD beyond. Making and installing those bells and whistles keeps me as busy as I care to be and most of my ideas are corrupted from other members. The wheels keep spinning. Enjoy, Chris
