Moon Over Farm

Postby Vedette » Wed Jun 11, 2014 4:00 am

Just came in from my nightly stroll around the farm.
The Moon was shining brightly in the clear night sky (3 days from full)......just GORGOUS !!
Brought thoughts of Teardrops attending our First Annual Gathering here July 24th to 27th.
There will be absolutely "No Moon" that weekend.....but that will make star gazing all the better!
Especially for those of you from the Big Cities that have so much light pollution.

I just figured out what is wrong with this forum,,, gives me way too many places I want to go and people I want to meet.
I could fill my calendar with ideas just from here.

I just put Walk the Winds on my calendar. It's been a crazy year. Couldn't make The Dam because of work schedule. Can't do IRG do to a 40th class reunion- being held in my own front yard. But Walk the Wind dates are looking good, Plenty of time to schedule work load for a few days off, only a 7 hour drive from home, and the stars, OH the STARS!!!

Thank you Vedette for pointing out the lack of moon that weekend. Dark skies are so amazing. When I was working in souther Florida I had employees who had never seen stars. Unimaginable.

Also, there will be people there whom I've never met.

Sounds like a plan.
