The only thing not cool is the campfire in the grass; but then I live in the dry tinderbox western USA.

They are all cute as a button, but not something I personally would drive very far and not on better roads with traffic. So, if I don't leave the neighborhood then I don't need it.

I believe I read that the Dethleffs one was a 'skunk works' project by some employees in their own time (but no doubt with 'liberated' materials...) and the company liked it so much they put their name on it.

The Dethleffs one is sitting on a 700-series Ape, so it carries 700kg (1540 lb) and has a monstrous 175 or 200 cc engine - who in their right minds could need as much power as that produces, I ask you???

I think this one-off micro-camper is sitting on a 50cc Ape, able to carry only about 230kg (500 lb). The side folds down to make the body big enough for a transverse bed.
