Day 135, frustrated.

Postby teamredjeep » Tue Jun 24, 2014 7:21 pm

When we ordered our teardrop from the builder we were given a 12 week time frame, now after 18 weeks I'm getting frustrated. Really wishing I would have found this forum before we ordered one and just built our own TD. Ok done venting now.

Who did you order from, and what have they told you about the delay in delivery?

I really don't want to mention names and start slamming someone in a public form. He may even be a member to this forum. I just needed to vent, I know a lot can happen to cause delays that are out of his control. I will just have to be patient for a couple more weeks. After all what can I do? If I piss him off I don't want him slamming my TD together not caring about quality.

Stuck between rock and hard place. I understand your frustration and we are in similar situation and have to ride it out due to different situation. Doesn't hurt checking on it and just letting him know you're just excited about using it asap. Just in case someone came in and ordered a bigger dollar amount one and is getting better treatment or said they were in a real rush for theirs and they didn't think it was a big deal to put yours off. Yes , parts are back ordered and things happen and stuff gets delayed, but good idea to keep in touch with them.

I'm sure it will be ready before to long and you'll enjoy it for many years to come. :)

Have you even spoken to them? If so what have they told you has caused the delay?

Yes I have spoken with him. Delayed due to problems getting materials to build it, powder coater backed up and unexpected family problems. But some how during the time of our trailer build he was able to complete two prototype trailer builds of new models he now offers. They are simpler models and ours is his top of the line model with all the bells and whistles. Every time I have spoken with him the last couple months I'm led to believe he is close to being done. You can understand why I'm frustrated.

Well good luck and I hope it shows up soon. Maybe ask for a few pictures to see the progress and help you make decisions on what to buy to decorate yours when you get it. At least with some pictures you will see where you stand. My guess is you are not a Squeaky enough wheel and the grease went to the new prototypes.
