I used a platform on mine that sits inside the shower and makes a false bottom for use as a bathroom, if the shower is needed just remove the portable loo and floor and its ready to go.

nice trailer :D

Great idea and use of space. This is exactly one of the two or three ideas I had for this issue.

I built my own shower using FRP panels on the walls and a custom fiberglass pan (which was difficult!). It would have helped to raise the pan up some but I managed to fit everything. I have a 23 gallon gray water tank and use campground bathrooms as much as possible but the porta pottie holds quite a lot. I can stow the pottie in a cabinet if I don't want it out. I put just a little flush water in it since I can use the shower to blast the bowl clean. The hook on the wall keeps it from rolling over while traveling. I took the lid and seat off since they just get in the way. The dimensions are 27x30" which is tight but usable even for my wife.

Mark519,
If you feel that your dimensions of 27x 30 are tight. That makes me concerned that the 24 x 24 I was going to go with might be an issue. I want the smallest size I can get I order to save space in the CT. Maybe I need to put some blue tape in my home shower and test it out.

Bob, I have a closet which is conveniently 24x30 so I took the shelves out and and I decided that was the absolute minimum that would be usable for shower and removable toilet. It is more trouble, but maybe worth the effort to build a full scale mockup with some scrap wood/foam board so you don't regret it later.

Good idea. I just measured my smallest closet and it is too big at 28 x 38. So I will look around look for something which allows me to test it per your method.

Thanks.

Mark, thank you for posting what you used for your walls. I had been thinking of using FRP but didn't know what it was called and didn't know Lowes carries it. I'd rather use the FRP than vinyl floor material. I like the way your pan turned out and I may give it a try with the fiberglass.

Hey bob if your a skinny 75 lb runt maybe a 18" x 18" shower will work for you.

Glad to be of help! Home Depot also sells the FRP and trim and I think you can get it smooth or pebbled. I had to buy an expensive one gallon can of the adhesive, which seemed a lot like liquid nails but I didn't want to screw it up so I used the official product. Maybe a contractor can advise on other adhesives that work.

Got a little done this weekend but forgot to take pictures. Mounted the Antenna for the TV, works great. Got the black water tank installed and the pedestal built for the toilet.

Was talking to my neighbor who builds sprayers and he knows a company that manufactures tanks that might be able to fabricate a shower pan out of plastic. He had a small piece
of the material and it looks promising.

Bob, will do. Tonight I made a cardboard form of the shower floor and sent it with my neighbor to see if the company will make the pan. I'll hopefully know in a few days. The name of the company is "Custom Composites" and the material I believe is "polypropylene".

Here are a couple of pics of the shower area, I think it turned out pretty roomy. The 6 gallon black-water tank is in the pedestal under the toilet.

Ran out of trim for around the door, think it is looking good.

And here is a quick shot of the antenna.

Worked a little last night and today, temps have been pretty high here so it kinda slows the progress.
Shower walls installed, need to caulk them.

Vinyl flooring installed.

I also got the gray tank mounted but haven't connected drains yet, but hopefully I'll get those connected before the weekend is over.
