When I work in San Francisco, a bigger truck is the last thing I want, but a little MOAR POWURR up the big hills would be nice sometimes.
Mine is a 2004 Supercab with the 6.0L powerstroke. All trucks have their good and bad points, the 6.0L has some KNOWN problems, which I'm-a-fixin'-to
correct next month. Get on some of the forums and do your research and you should be able to find a good truck out there. All vehicles have their +'s & -'s.
Even the same truck with different engines will have different characteristics and fault patterns.
On the trip to Utah to get the CT, I did have one instance where I got 21 mpg. That was a first and only so far. Usually it avg's. about 17-18 mpg on it's own
and that's just local stuff.
On the way home (towing), I was getting about 13.5 mpg as an avg.. That was a lot of ups -n- downs along I-70 from Salina, Ut. to just east of Green River
and then South to Moab.
I'm real happy with the way it does it's job (for ME),
