Go back and read his post… he asked if anyone had any great Adventures planned this summer.

Maybe it's just me, but the OP thread title is "Gas Prices" so i took it as, with gas prices high will people still travel?

Obviously the thread is titled gas prices. He did not ask will people still travel.. he asked if anyone had any GREAT [my capitalization for emphasis] Adventures planned.

Doesn't that mean he wants to talk about Any great adventures we have might have planned.. vs a b!tch session about gas prices.. the economy or ANY thing else.??

Back on topic..
My camping this summer [or what I have specifically planned] is travel to mountain bike races. I have a big race at Carrabassett Valley in 3 weeks. It is in beautiful northwestern Maine as the base of Sugarloaf. Then in the middle of August we will head to New Hampshire for a 24 hour race at the base of Mount Washington. This also is a gorgeous area.. and the ONLY time people can camp in this location is for this race. :)

Started camping this last weekend. In 2 inches of rain. Not how I had planned on testing my water tight integrity...but we stayed dry in the teardrop. Lots of hiking and some fishing in the cascades near Bend Oregon.
