Hello everyone!
I haven't been "lurking" long... I grew up with a tent trailer and decided I wanted something a little better than a tent to go camping in; then after coming home from work this month, I went and bought a homebuilt teardrop from Craigslist! But I get ahead of myself...
Hello! I'm Anthony. A sailor, a juggler, a jeweler, an archer, consumer of books, and nostalgic video gamer. 28 years old in a couple days. One of the faucets of going to sea, is plenty of time to think. Last month I thought about building a teardrop, as one has been on my buy list for a few years, yet it was never the right time to find one. I got lucky. I am now a proud owner of a homebuilt. I loved it from first "Yay I fit in it!" It's rustic, but then I'm rough around the edges to begin with.
My timing sucks. I wish I was with ya'll at the IRG. Alas, I will be taking my first trip from the 6th-11th of July at the Sonoma Coast State Beach, California. If anyone is traveling homeward bound through California... That's where I'll be.
I'm planning small improvements to the teardrop as is, and work a wonky boat schedule... But that leaves me with every other month off the boat with plenty of time to camp now.
My goal is to (start with) camp at every national (?), federal, and state park. Starting with California.
Fair winds,
Anthony
