hankaye,Well, twer I you, I'd get the Castillian version because the Spanish use a lot of the "vosotros" form in their verb conjugations. Latin Americans generally do not.
In northern Spain, Spanish is almost everyone's
second language. In and around Barcelona the first language is Catalan. In and around Pamplona it's Basque (not from Latin like the others). In and around Leon, it's Leonese (almost Spanish). In the northwest, in Galicia it's Galician (almost Portuguese).
Wherever I went, people said, "Are you Mexican?" My Spanish is. Kinda like being from Texas and going to New York City and opening with "Howdy. How ya all doin?"
