My husband saw the advertisement and wanted to know who would live in that small a house, I promptly popped on here and showed him your caboose build and said a lot of us. If I were single I would in a heart beat. Just have to add on enough room for my aquarium.

While I can not yet live in the Caboose I continue to work on it as time permits. I loaded the mower this morning and hope to do battle with the jungle.




I would like to get it looking pretty with some flower beds and a late garden just to express to the county zoning czars that my tiny house will not be a detriment to their county in any way.

Meanwhile Sadie my Scottish Terrier and I are residing happily in my 500 sq ft " (OFFICE) " in my 3000 sq ft shop in the next county, very stealthfully and very illegally!

Thanks, Bob. Karen, I thought it was very informative. Seeing how much you have to get rid of is amazing. And how to be so resourceful to use the space you have. Insightful. It looks like I have a long way to go before I could make the move...but I wouldn't mind trying.

Hey Verna it's easy just get a 3000 sq ft shop and build a tiny house in the corner.


On a more serious note I have noticed I am taking the time to place things where they belong rather than where I drop them, like I used to do. The thrift of down sizing does make its demands. You have to become better organized. I thought the show made a very strong point of that fact.

I just learned the movie "TINY" is now available on net flicks. It is more of a story of the building aspects of a tiny home.

Now I want to go smaller even more,,, however the husband is not convinced. Not that we live in a very big house, wouldn't take much getting rid of to go smaller.

The movie "Tiny" is on Hulu. I watched it earlier today.
