Jerry, ??????????
Say it ain't true. You can 't be a lurker when I really really start my project . Who else is going to critique my ideas/work like you?

Oh and by the way, not to patronize you, but I just came from your blog. I already had planned to take the same concept of the door and AC unit and apply it to one of the back barn doors. That way, at night I could leave one closed and locked and the other open for AC usage (with barn doors of course). So we can learn from each other on that project. Also I am going to study the more efficient AC you referenced. I am almost convinced to get the Honda EU 2000 generator over the Champion which I still believe is a very good unit and a good value. But the edge goes to the H unit b/c of it's AC start up advantage. IMHO, your newer AC candidate only enhances that advantage.

And by coincidence, my wife and I just started to become interested in Thai food. We made two dishes already which we would never serve to guests. Just not right. Now I will look at your Thai soup recipe you posted and report back on that. It does look like a lot of work though.

Hey Bob

Don't worry I'll keep my eye on you & be your Texas River Rat

PS ... If you make an door AC ... Leave 2-3" on the top & sides for the air to be sucked in
I also insulated my box on the inside

Check out my diamond plate roof brackets & plastic wrap I just posted
It's a cheap way to add a big bang bling to the roof edge ..... Looks exactly like the real stuff

With the soup I had to bed that guys wife for 5 years to get the secrete :worship:
It's really easy to make - less then 30 min cooking , maybe 15-30 min prep
You can't mess up the cooking - follow my directions-
The secrete is finding those Thai lemon tree leves - I had to buy a bush & grow my own
Easy to grow - not like a peach tree :x

Cheers Jerry

PS get a CarMate ..... You won't be sorry , BUT DON'T TELL THEM YOUR PLANS - LOLROTF

A week from now I'll know for sure if the deal is in the bag.

Hi Norcal2

The latches come from lowes or HD , they are used to lock sliding glass doors,
On the top or bottom of the door - look where they sell parts for sliding doors & latches
I got a few that have the same key code.

I gotta get AC and system perfected so I can sell my cool down ac solar service
Looking at new system that could cool to 60 - with exterior up to 118F
Maybe I'm just dreaming

Next Monday morning i'm going to LA to get the batteries or I'll get a big expensive yellow lead brick ?

I could see some issues with it depending on how one plays with their car...

I do not know what to really think about solar roadways, but to me, the video was to painful to watch. Maybe it is just me.

Bob

its got 17 million hits, the video against solar roads, proving its impossible only has 150,000 -
just goes to show how smart folks really are.
Bob... I gotta say $800,000 for a 20 x 20' solar driveway is a cheap waste of gov money :applause: :applause:
I can see how we should do it nation wide

Maybe I can hype my trailer like that & collect millions $$$$$$ from gov or kickstart ?

I guess that since one million hits occurred then I must be out there all but myself. I like the concept. I believe in solar but I could not stand to watch this video. Sorry.

I like the solar concept so much that if I were to be in my current home for another 7 - 10 years, I would invest about $16,000 for solar water panels, connect to my existing in floor radiant heat, and uses no propane in my boiler/hot water heater all year (for days with no sunshine). My wife and I might be in it for another year or so, then we move on. If we build again, there will be Solar panels around us somewhere.

Sorry for taking this other path.
Bob
