We took a "vacation" to Applegate Lake the weekend after the IRG, stopping along the way to clam at Crescent City, to attend & surprise those TD friends at Guy's MOA Gathering. Sometime in the lovely warmth of the afternoon..... Whilst Dean was cleaning clams and I swimming in the lake, or playing in the sprinklers, a gust of wind BLEW OFF my galley hatch, and with perfect precision it landed, unscathed, back with the Teardrop. Couldn't have asked for a cleaner/neater break then what occurred. The back of the TD is not dented, the lid is just fine.....so, returning home the line of duct tape and spiderman type ties around the hatch cover held like they were designed to hold it that way in the 1st place.
We went and selected new wood yesterday, along with interior paint along the seam, and Dean is picking up some new, longer screws today to complete a HoneyDo job.

In the many miles yet to travel, may the troubles be few, and the many new friends along the way as kind and helpful as our have been.
