This trip was filled with Adventures, all stemming from "Road Blocks & Detours"
First one was 29 miles from our IRG destination. It took us on a 2 1/2 hour adventure over & thru the Trinity Mountains with a local boy named Bob as our guide. Lots of rough roads and cattle guards for the three tiny teardrops to cover.
On the way home from the IRG and Moon over Applegate we also encounter a little drama that allowed us to see a few routes from both directions as we were turned back by "Fires" in Central Washington.
First there was the Leavenworth Fire that turned us back at the Summit on Highway #2 which lead to another 100 mile plus detour back to Marysville where we got to experience another night in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Next it was North to Highway 20 where we ran into a fire at Winthrop. Or path home was blocked once again with three of our possible routes home had road closures. Thus, we needed to re cross the Cascades again, heading West once again to Sedro Woolley, before heading north to the Sumas border crossing and over the Coquihalla hwy. #5 home.
And to add insult to injury, the road that we live on, that has been closed for the past 3 months for construction of a Bus Exchange, was still closed (scheduled to be opened before we got home) was still not open.
But what is just another lap around the block after 5348.5 kms with Miss Piggy in tow?
Good to be Home.......but looking forward to the next Teardrop Adventure!

Good Roads
