Slow could you take a couple of pictures of that blender, please. I have a star bit thingy on my drill that turns my blender blade. I am wondering what a hand crank one looks like.

It's hand crank for a reason...just another item to charge up.

I have had a pneumatic blender for years, but it helps when you have an on board air system. I also have seen some blenders run by weed eater motors but they are pricey. Beer or wine is usually easier.

Fruit smoothies, filling for Cheesecake....and you can see the endless possibility for recipes that normally require you beat 'em up first.

We use a blender for smoothies a couple of times a day, morning and noon usually. Vegetable and fruit smoothies. Apples, oranges & grapes for fruit smoothies mostly, but blueberries or raspberries too as available. Spinach, broccoli, chard or kale with grapes and bananas is the usual formula for a breakfast smoothie. However I don't think a hand crank blender will be satisfactory as the blades won't turn fast enough to really reduce everything to particles so small as we get from the Vitamix used as the home blender. We use a discontinued Braun in the trailer and at the cabin, and as good as they are they still don't pulverize everything to the point where it can be truly called a smooooothie. Some day I'd like to have another Vitamix in the TT and at the cabin.

Thanks Sharon, I didn't know they existed. I like my idea better it cost me nothing. I would only take it to CRA or a big campout i would be at for a week or so. I can drink other things for a couple of days.
