Oh, also, for aluminum to wood, you might try 3M 4200 or 3M 5200 glue. These are used on marine applications. I think Aggie79 used 4200 and it might be more to your liking. Be careful of 5200 as, once dry, it will never come loose. It'll tear up your wood if you try.

Hi Caleb

When I looked at the posts a couple of nights back I could see the pictures fine. I couldn't get what the others were saying about not seeing them. But when I looked just now they had gone, but the new ones are there ok, (for now)! All the older photos are still there.
I like the Chev. Is it going to be put in to towing duty? They sure would look fabulous together. We do most of our towing with a couple of Ford Capris. A 1962 and a 1986.
Good luck keeping your wife out of the shed, and keep that build humming along.

Cheers Frank.

PS. If you get this twice, I don't know what happened, as I hit submit and it dissapeared.

Thanks, I am assuming this will be good glue to use on Wood to Wood? like when jointing the walls?

I will prob do some mock up photos with the car......but the motor thats in it is more on the performance side, and with a 850 double pump holley......I couldnt afford to make it out of town. Lol, Its more of just a Saturday nite local town cruiser....... I like the 62 Capris

Ok, Finally made it back out to the garage, I still need to get some Biscuits to join the plywood together for the walls, should get them tonite. Last night I feel like I got a huge portion accomplished, even though it may not look like much. I routed the profile shape, which is a relief of my mind, as I was a little worried that I wouldnt achieve the shape I wanted, but I went slow and was very please, " the photos shown dont give a good view of the profile because of the angle the photos were taken." Goal for tonight is to make it to Home Depot, get the biscuits, join and glue the walls together. Goal for Saturday, Rout both walls and attached to trailer, get a good profile shape photo. Let me know if what you guys think of the photos.

It looks like you free handed it? Pretty good job at that.

I would have waited to cut the profile until after the panels had been joined; at least have them both joined and clamped together before you sand the final profile to match.

KC, That is still the plan, all I did was Rout about an 8th of an inch grove to get the profile cut, am waiting to Rout all the way through till they are all joined. And it all was free handed, kind of nerve racking for me.....just had to take my time and keep re-drawing till it looked right.

Also, Just thinking ahead, I was forwarned about going 77inches wide, and that I would have to piece the aluminum sheeting together because of this. So any ideas if I might get lucky and find aluminum that wide? Or is having a seam and piecing it together the only way.....If so, Please give me suggestions on how to do this, Pictures would be helpful to. Thanks Caleb.

Look for large truck repair facilities in your area. They usually have a big roll of white coated aluminum skin used to skin semi trailer vans. I want to say 102 inches x any length you want.

What I meant was it looked like you ran the router to your pencil line free hand without a template or guide bearing.

That is a good idea and I will check into that, but I was going for the bare aluminum vintage look..... so im not sure if the semi trailer metal would work with it being white.

Yes it was cut with out a template or guide bearing by free handing it.

Still can't hurt to check. It will likely be white on one side and raw on the other.

KC you have got my mind going, the aluminum that I will be using for the bottom weather protection, should work for the roof. Thanks!
