While storing our TD it was recommended we keep it plugged in to keep the battery up. I got tired of running a cord from the garage to the car port (trailer port) on the side of our house and with the wife talking about a new puppy the cord had to go. So I ordered a Renogy starter kit off of Ebay for $174. 100 watts, PWM 30amp controller, 20ft cords and panel mounting brackets. I installed the panel on the car port roof and installed the controller in the trailer. I figured later if I want solar on the road I can just get a more portable panel and plug it in. We rarely camp more than one night in a location so the battery charges while we drive.
