What kind of trailer was it

Postby boomer » Wed Aug 13, 2014 6:13 pm

We were traveling across Indiana on the Indiana toll rd ( 80-90 ) on Sun evening. We were heading east and I looked over in the west bound lane and there was a really nice little trailer being towed by a small car. It was the reverse teardrop style. It looked to be a 4 x 8 with the door on the back. I was going probably 75 mph so i saw it for all of 4 seconds. I know my description is not real clear but does anyone know of a trailer manufacturer that builds a trailer like this ? Kind of like a Benroy without the hatch but a door in the back. Thanks, Ed.

Thanks Freddy - I think it might have been one of the Signatour trailers. I looked at their site and the one trailer looks like it. As I said I only saw it for a few seconds and I didn't want to do a u-turn thru the median to find out what it was. I wouldn't have minded doing that but the troopers get mad when you pull those stunts like that. Thanks again for the reply, Ed.

Not to hijack this thread but I have a question about this design. I like the backdoor idea and want to build one like this.
What is the design called thats like this in the back but has a small fin (near the top) that flows back ?

A trailer in the hall of fame looks like it. Its called the Oasis .

Modstock - I think its called a Reverse Teardrop. Little Guy was building them and we saw one out at the factory a couple of years ago and I fell in love with the design. You lose the galley but there seemed to be alot more room inside. They must not have been too popular because they stopped making them. I figured if I ever build my own trailer it will be that design. Ed.
