Folks with the reverse teardrops may disagree with me here, but I would not want my only door at the foot of the bed. Crawling in and then trying to squirm under the covers at the other end does not sound like a graceful maneuver. Reversing the process at 2am to go commune with nature also lacks appeal.

I agree, why add a door to the bed area. I expect you will have some space inside with a floor. With a cross bed I would only make one door also. It would be more like a standy with that layout. If it was me I would try to get a drop floor in with a cross wise bed. You can sit on the edge of the mattress and have your feet in the drop floor, making it easier to get dressed etc. You also have the ability to get out of dirty boots without being on your bed or sitting in the doorway while it rains. Opposite the drop floor some narrow storage cabinets and then a 2 foot depth galley. With 6 ft of width you have plenty of galley storage.....

Just my thoughts.

A full sized mattress is 54x75"
A Queen sized mattress is 60x80"

With a 6' wide (72") trailer, neither of the above store-bought mattresses would fit cross-ways in your new trailer; and, regardless, 72" is problematic for many people because it isn't long enough to allow the feet to stretch out well, unless you're not very tall.

Also, don't short yourself on the doors or windows. Make certain that you have two exits; one, for standard use and one, for emergencies.

Further, you never know what type of person your future wife will be. She may be the type that wants an indoor porta-potty.

Remember, there's a good chance that this will be the last trailer you will make; so, don't skimp on something that you'll be sorry about later.
There's no reason to rush building this trailer. Take your time and do it right.
